True Story. A religion teacher assigned her class an essay on what makes a good Christian. One student wrote about praying nightly, saying no to abortion, banning gay marriage, and donating money. The other student wrote about talking to God and allowing people to enjoy their lives, and supporting gay marriage. The day the teacher was to hand the papers back, she called up the second student and told him she would pray for him when he went to hell. The student asked why would he be going to hell, and why he got an F on his paper. The teacher told him that Catholisim is against gay marriage. The student looked at her for a minute, then said aloud, “I’m gay.” The teacher kicked him out of class as if he had said fuck or worshipped Satan. A girl in the back of class who had a boyfriend and was obviously straight got up and left, too. If you would leave the classroom, repost this. It doesn’t matter if you’re straight, bi, or gay. Procrastination... a way of life
Handed in my takehome math final with 5 minutes to spare. I'm pretty sure my answers are right, there may be one or two which he could take a few points off for, but im not worried about it; i should still get an A this sememster for it. When i was in thackery handing in the math, i stopped by registration and dropped down from honors physics to the regular (but still calc based) course. I bit off far more thank i could chew this semester, so at least i will simplify things for next. Well, just one more final left, astronomy on saturday afternoon, then i can come home saturday night! Sunday night is Trans Siberian with Abi, and that will be truely amazing. I was just thinking how i feel right now. The first thing that popped into my head was chipper. I dont know what that means, but its one of the moods i have on the list here, so im sticking with it. This is going to suck... who the hell would ever take chemistry as an elective (well, me obviously). At least im guaranteed a C, and if i get 235/300 on the final, I actually can pull of a B for the semester. Dont see that happening, but even if i just get 30 points or so on it, i earn a C instead of having it handed to me. Hey, um, all. This is my first shot at this whole live journal thing. I just really need a place to write what i think... Well, all i can think about now is how much finals are not very fun, but they'll be over in 5 days, which is good. I'll be home either saturday night or sunday morning, and all will be happy and fun for the next 3 weeks :-) |
